January 16

"Keyboard Explosion!"
The Kenny Drew, Jr. Trio &
The Richard Drexler Trio
"A Two For One Concert!" Internationally acclaimed pianist Kenny Drew, Jr. matches talents with multi-instrumentalist Richard Drexler, composer and arranger. Hear these two dynamic keyboard players perform swinging standards and more, in their individual style. Then, listen to them joust in a musical showdown as they go head to head in an exciting keyboard duel. Lending their superior musical support to these keyboard warriors will be former Duke Ellington bassist John Lamb and premiere jazz drummer Don Capone.

February 20

“Blues In My Shoes!”
Al “Coffee” McDaniel
McDaniel’s is a bright new voice to the Blues. His delivery is a special blend of tones of Barry White, Marvin Gaye and Joe Williams wrapped skillfully with a cool, modern, urban beat of R&B, Neo-Soul, and Jazz. Al “Coffee” McDaniel effectively takes the concepts and grooves out of the funk-dance music of the 80’s and mixes it together with the down-to-earth sounds of today. His jazzy, bluesy, and original guitar playing style makes it difficult to limit his music to just one category or genre. Hear selections from his latest CD “Blues In My Shoes”, a modern day urban blues opera.

March 20

“City Lights!”
The Robert Harris Group
Orlando smooth jazz guitarist Robert Harris visits the Bayview Room for the very first time in concert, joined by Jimmy Seay on bass and Steve Takahashi on drums. Whether they’re playing an upbeat tune with “funky” bass lines or “ringlets” of smooth jazz beats, you’ll be glad you didn’t miss this concert.

May 8

“Music and Moments!”
Haferhouse Jazz Quartet
Mike and Lorri Hafer, a husband and wife keyboard and vocalist duo in their first appearance at the Bayview Room bring a fine selection of the Great American Songbook. Quite simply, Mike and Lorri present ‘The Music of Their Lives’…music of composers such as George Gershwin and Harry Warren to the swinging songs of the Big Band Era to loving tributes to great singers like Judy Garland and Billie Holiday. Talented musical support is provided by son bassist Paul Hafer, and Dave Dunscombe on drums.

June 26

“Flute Suite!”

This great concert will include flaming original tunes and others by Miles Davis, Tina Turner, Wayne Shorter and many others. Hear selections from his latest CD “All About You.”
